I graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso in May2007 with a Bachelor of Education Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies,Bilingual Education, with a major concentration in Bilingual Generalist, andminor in Primary grades (EC-4). To further my career in Education in Dec, 2009 Icompleted a Masters of Education Degree with a specialization of anInstructional Specialist in Bilingual Education.
Shortly after I began working at Dixie Elementary part ofTyler Independent School District as a 2nd grade bilingual teacherand I looped with the same group of students to 3rd grade bilingual.My last year at Tyler Independent School District I worked as a Response toIntervention teacher supporting several groups of students from K-4thgrade. At the same time I served as abilingual lead teacher for the Language Proficiency Assessment Committee(LPAC).
In January 2014 I decided to move back to El Paso to becloser to my family and I was hire within El Paso ISD as a first grade teacherat Alta Vista Elementary. In Aug 2014 I found an opportunity to work as a 4thgrade teacher at Edgar Park Elementary with a group mix-mono where I amcurrently working.
