Arnold, Gayle

Mrs. Arnold

It is my privilege to introduce myself to you.  I look forward to working with you this year to help your child be successful in beginning their school years as they become lifelong learners.
I am married with three grown children, three granddaughters, and a grandson.  We were a military family for 20 years and chose to remain in El Paso when my husband retired from the military in 2000.  I was born and raised in Houston, Texas; my husband is from Austin, Texas.  I graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso in 1992 with a BIS in Early Childhood Education.  I recently completed my Masters of Education in Guidance and Counseling from UTEP in May, 2011.
I have taught for 23 years; 1 year in 2nd grade, 2 years in 1st grade, and 20 years in Kindergarten.  I believe the early years of a child's life are their formative years, and this time is an opportunity to create within the child a love of learning and school.  I strive to provide a safe and productive learning environment, and I value working with parents to ensure their child receives everything possible during the school year.
I value working closely with parents to help their child achieve the most out of their Kindergarten year.  Together we can make a difference in your child's life.
Please contact me if you ever have any concerns or are in need of additional information/clarification.  I believe good communication between the parent(s) and teacher are necessary in providing the best school experience for your child.
